The Justice Roundtable September Assembly will provide working group updates and will feature presenters Glenn Martin and Vivian Nixon. Martin and Nixon will discuss their work on the Education from the Inside Out Campaign.  The campaign is designed to remove barriers to higher education funding for currently and formerly incarcerated individuals.  In addition, there will be a brief presentation by The Movement for Peace with Justice and Dignity.  The Movement is an independent organization of victims of prohibition-related violence, organized crime, and official impunity who have come together to demand accountability from their own leaders and start a dialogue involving citizens and government on both sides of the border about alternatives to the failed drug war.

“The Justice Roundtable is a diverse coalition of over 50 national
organizations working to reform the U.S. Justice system. The Roundtable
amplifies the capacity to these groups by coordinating key legislative and
advocacy efforts through the working groups, convening quarterly assembly
meetings, and hosting a public policy discussion series.”
