The Open Society Policy Center has signed on to a letter opposing the nomination of William Haynes to the 4th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals. Haynes’ involvement in the Bush administration’s policies leading to torture and abuse of military detainees leads the human rights community to question his commitment to the rule of law.
